erik212 Posted October 22, 2006 Report Posted October 22, 2006 Another forum posted a sticky about the fact that you can black certain IPs from sites that feed bad info to trackers, and they have a file to copy into ipfilter.dat, which they said was under %appdata%, but I cannot find it. Any help would be appreciated.EDIT: This related to speed because speed would be increased if the client was not getting fake info from these IPs. (The link for the IP list is http://www.saunalahti.fi/zolord/bluetack/nipfilter.dat.gz, but it is not updated.)

erik212 Posted October 23, 2006 Author Report Posted October 23, 2006 Thanks a lot, I thought there was already supposed to be a file called ipfilter.dat, because it was set to true under the preferences, but now I know that I need to create one. The FAQ says that it is a .DAT extension, but then says it is a text file. I will just make a text file. Thanks again.
Ultima Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 Yes, it's a text file with a .dat extension. You can download premade ipfilter.dat from other places, as long as they follow the same (simple) format as described in the FAQ.
