games0802
Someone asked me if I had tried uTorrent and when I looked at it, I thought it was the same thing as Azureus. Is it based on the same source? If not, is it written in the same language (Java)? It sure looks similar if it is a completely indepedant source. torrero
µTorrent is programmed in C++ using custom-coded libraries. It is then compressed with PECompact to bring the size down by about 50%.http://www.utorrent.com/faq.phphttp://www.utorrent.com/guides.php
Ultima
Different source codes does NOT automatically mean radically different interface. µTorrent was inspired by a bunch of different torrent clients (including Azureus), as was Azureus' interface (and many other BitTorrent clients' interface). You'll find an extremely old discussion regarding the familiar interface here. As vurlix said in that thread, µTorrents source code is completely original.
