dc42
Howdy all...the instructions to open a port on this dlink 624 router are easy to folow. I am helping a friend set their utorrent up. The router needs a static address. Which by the instructions seems easy. However the pc using the router has an ip address of say 192.188.1.107 When we enter this address for the static ip (within the dlink settings page) it comes back as an invalid ip. I am thinking it is because their are three digits on the end of the ip. Anyone have luck getting utorrent to work nicely with this router? I use netgear and setting up is a breeze. Using the latest version of utorrent.Thx..DC
Ultima
Um. You DON'T set static IPs in the router configuration. You set them on the computer that actually needs the static IP.http://www.portforward.com/networking/staticip.htm
