I have been to the FAQ and this header pinpoints my prob "Error: Access Denied" / "Error: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process" however none of the suggestions seemed to do the trick. I have no google/msn desktop, i tried uninstalling my AVG, turning off my windows firewall. I wasnt sure how to check if the files were set to read only. However i managed one download today, but all others there after posed this problem. Any further ideas would be greatly appreciated.

thanks for getting back, i got as far as the first line of your advice, all set up and running, however this is where i throw my hands up as a layman as i dont quite understand what the second line requires me to do. I'll admit i havent a clue how to use this new software. Sorry for the ignorance.

I want to add something, a suggestion for Ultima, there is a software called unlocker

http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/

it is kind'a created for this type of problem when the file is being used by and application and you don't know wich is using the file. this app shows you the progam wich uses the file and even can unlock the file. it also comes in handy when deleting or moving something. I hope this helps, and you won't have to gues next time :)

Hi, I seem to be having the same problem. I don't have Roxio so I'm not sure what it could be, I turned off AVG and Zone alarm but that made no difference.

Heres my process list if someone can see whats going wrong would be great.

Ehm... Find the last directory in the path to the torrent contents for the torrent job that's having a problem, press Ctrl+F in Process Explorer, and type the directory in, Search, and see if there are any other processes besides µTorrent using the directory. If so, list them.

For example, if the path for the problem torrent is C:\downloads\hello\world.zip, then look for hello. If the path is C:\downloads\hello, then it'd be hello you're looking for as well. Anyhow, the type you're looking for is a Handle.
