muruX Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 i was downloading a very large file but i decided to cancel it and remove Utorrent since it did not meet my needs, but the file i was downloading seems to be still on my drive even though i deleted utorrent. (Hardrive before download: 2.65 GB, Hardrive after removal of utorrent: 1.77 GB). so please help me recover my hard disk space back.
schnurlos Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 Search for files "*.ut!" if you had this enabled.Otherwise use in windows "start" "run" "%appdata%\uTorrent", thats the folder where utorrent left his settings and the downloads by default.

Ultima Posted December 4, 2006 Report Posted December 4, 2006 If you uninstalled Microsoft Word, do you expect all .doc files to magically disappear from your hard drive? No. Same exact story here. If you can't remember where you downloaded your files to so that you can delete them, there's nothing we can do about it.
muruX Posted December 4, 2006 Author Report Posted December 4, 2006 im pretty sure i have deleted my downloads but i still cant seem to recover my hardrive (eventhough it recovered somewhat, now at 2.04 GB). but thanks a lot i aprreciate the replies in helping me with my issues.
