Crater21
I was curious if it would be possible to put a daily cap on the upload. My college has it set up where everyone who upload over 500 megabytes in one day, 5 AM to 4:59 AM, are put on a network that has a much more limited speed capability, i.e. I can upload at 500 +/-100 KB/s when I start, later I am lucky to upload at 10 KB/s.I know I could just limit my upload to 5 KB/s and upload less than the 500 Megabytes in a day, but I would rather be able to turn my computer off at night, because the fan is a little noisy. I don't know that this is overly necessary but would be a nice feature that I haven't seen on any of the bittorrent clients that I have used. True
You can use an external application to manage your bandwidth; you're probably looking for a real bandwidth manager, not uTorrent (or any other functional torrent servlet for that matter).
