Ultima
(Just for clarity, I'd meant Advanced Settings in µTorrent > Preferences)Get Process Explorer from sysinternals.com, File > Save, then post the contents of the saved process list in the .txt file here. cyclopathic
Have the same problem; I am running it bound to specific port on Win2K here is what MS says about this:Address already in use. Typically, only one usage of each socket address (protocol/IP address/port) is permitted. This error occurs if an application attempts to bind a socket to an IP address/port that has already been used for an existing socket, or a socket that was not closed properly, or one that is still in the process of closing. For server applications that need to bind multiple sockets to the same port number, consider using setsockopt (SO_REUSEADDR). Client applications usually need not call bind at all— connect chooses an unused port automatically. When bind is called with a wildcard address (involving ADDR_ANY), a WSAEADDRINUSE error could be delayed until the specific address is committed. This could happen with a call to another function later, including connect, listen, WSAConnect, or WSAJoinLeaf. Problem manifests itself on start up if there are more then one torrent from the same server; first one goes through, others hang with this error msg until it eventually times out and connects. Is there check needs to be made to aggregate requests if socket had been openned?
Terminus
SOLUTION to "only one usage of each socket...." problem:if you use NOD, go to Advanced Setup>Web Access Protection>HTTP, HTTPS>Web Browsers> find uTorrent and click twice in the box in front of it until it turns to an X (red cross). That should do it.
MrBooko
I had that "only one usage socket thing", i got it to work though... But I believe the error is in the newer versionsof the µTorrent...
