entalado Posted May 26, 2007 Report Posted May 26, 2007 Im trying to use uTorrent at my university, but it blocks most of the ports. So, one day i made uTorrent work by port80 (http port) witch wasnt unblocked. it started downloading really quickly, but after 3 or 4 minutes it went to approximatly 0,5kb/s and i got my internet explorer or firefox reallyyy slow. Why did that happened?? Cant i make uTorrent download in the http port if i dont use it?
Solopista Posted May 26, 2007 Report Posted May 26, 2007 You can try limiting the number of connections. From what I heard my ISP will throttle the ports if it detects more than 75 or so simultaneous connections. Maybe your university has the same thing in effect.
