Ultima
http://www.portforward.com/networking/staticip.htmThe router plays no part in the assigning of static IPs, only your computer does.
SenorBubbz
so, my router has nothing to do with anything?what about the drop the DHCP thing by 1?
Ultima
No, set your computer to have a static IP as portforward.com recommends. Changing the router's DHCP range without setting a static IP up on your computer only changes what IPs your computer can possibly get later on.
