tried everything but no gain in speed Please help !!!

Hi

I love utorrent but I am having problem with the speed - very slow, not even 10-15 the guys have mentioned in other posts, its just 7 max.

I tried everything from initial setup in the given sticky posts, port forwarding, after trying everything in the previous posts, I tried downloading the given test torrents which was mentioned it would download fast but I had the same problem, even waiting for half an hour I got max speed of 8. Please help !

I have provided the following info:

> The color of the network status is at most times green, while sometimes yellow

> The port is allowed.

> Speed guide is configured as connection type as upload limit 17kB/s

> OS installed is Windows Vista Ultimate (I tried everything related to vista problems as well)

> Firewall - windows firewall, Bitdefender, and NOD32 antivirus

> Router model - Dlink - DI-604

> ISP - Wlink (this is in Nepal, if you think this is the problem then one of my friend using the same isp server is downloading at speed around 200 and using the same router)

I am using proxy server, as well, though not enabled in utorrent.

>Connection type is Cable

Speed test shows:

Upload Connection is:: 171 Kbps about 0.2 Mbps (tested with 386 kB)

What version of µTorrent are you running, and have you tried 1.7?

yes, I am using the µtorrent version 7.1 (build 2999) but still the same problem !

Please anyone with solution, please reply.
