port forwarding

hello everyone,

believe me, i've tried everything before posting this message. i'm using utorrent 1.7.6 and no matter what i try,i can't open a port. i always have the exclamation mark at the bottom and everytime i test it,my port is not forwarded properly.

1-my ip is obtained automatically.

2-i visited www.portforwarding.com and my modem is not listed there. it's Datron RTA 1030w, a very unknown model.

3- i unchecked UPnP and NAT-PNP port mapping on preferences.

is there any way i can fix this?

any help would be very appreciated. please help me..

You're probably going to need to configure the router on your own if there are no guides available for it :/

To get started, you can check Start > Run > cmd /k ipconfig /all

Look for the default gateway IP address for your Local Area Network connection, then visit it in your browser (if the default gateway is 192.168.1.1, try visiting http://192.168.1.1, for example). The default gateway IP address should be something like 192.168.x.x, 10.x.x.x, or 172.16.x.x - 172.31.x.x).

When you visit the router config, you're going to need to look for some page where you can configure a port with a target IP address (being your computer's static IP address).
