justin1011
as most of the utorrent user's problem... The red dot at the bottom page, saying port not properly forwarded. I've been searching the net for answers but i cant seem to find one. I'm using a wireless broadband internet in the philippine islands and i dont use routers, even asked my isp just to make sure. i've tried everything from windows firewall enabling utorrent to manual opening ports to static ip addresses (step by step from portforwarding.com) but still i can't seem to fix it. I'm currently uploading 20 to 40kbs but downloading 5kbs. Just want to know if you can help me step by step on how to open my port. by the way i'm using vaio laptop with vista OS.Hope you can help me with this. Ultima
I'm using a wireless broadband internetAnd that's exactly the problem. You don't get a real WAN IP address with wireless internet connections, so you don't control your port forwarding either -- your ISP does. There isn't anything you can do about this. justin1011
thanks for the reply that really made me relax a bit. if you don't mind me asking... how did you fix yours?
Ultima
I didn't have to fix anything because I don't use a wireless internet connection. It's just a known fact that wireless providers don't (can't?) provide their customers with real WAN IPs, which makes the users unable to forward ports.
