Problems with ports

I currently go to a University and am trying to use uTorrent. I think it's a port problem, as I have tried using 80, and 8080 and the numbers beside D: at the bottom appear for a while, and then go back to 0, same as with beside U:. I tried reading the stickies but they really didn't help me too much, thanks guys/girls.

You normally can't forward your port in university... At best you can try asking a network administrator nicely for them to open a port for you, but I doubt that'd go too well. Unless you become friends with a network administrator or two.
