dirtycar74
In the preferences, click the plus by Advanced, then select UI Extras. In the bottom area labeled Search Engines, paste the following (ok to paste over whats there, as what you have is included in the stuff below) :<begin>Mininova|http://www.mininova.org/search/?utorrent&search=The Pirate Bay|http://thepiratebay.org/search.php?q=TorrentSpy|http://torrentspy.com/search.asp?query=tvRSS|http://tvrss.net/search/?show_name=IsoHunt|http://isohunt.com/torrents.php?ext=&op=and&ihq=PointBlank|http://bt.point-blank.cc/?search=BitTorrent|http://www.bittorrent.com/search?client=utorrent1770&search=Google|http://google.com/search?q=<end>Its very important to make sure to paste it EXACT, including the empty line (do NOT include <begin> or <end> though). Restart uTorrent. Post results.

dirtycar74
I just realized what you were saying. Hold off on M$. in uT, go to preferences again, and on the GENERAL section, click the associate with .torrent files button. Then retry. Post results.
