jonesy Posted January 11, 2006 Report Share Posted January 11, 2006 im new to this whole torrent deal, and since i started (installed) and been using this, my cpu seems ..actually IS a whole lot slower. i also installed other things at the same time, so maybe its not this?? the whole comp has slowed down, and the internet is to a crawl almost. i did virus scans..adware..etc. uninstalled all the progs i recently installed (inc. torrent) and the comps fine now but im wondering if i should reinstall the torrent, is that slowing my comp? and 2nd- will i get a lawsuit order in the mail for downloading here? if not...whythx Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Ultima Posted January 11, 2006 Report Share Posted January 11, 2006 1) It depends on your computer specs, but if your internet's slowing down, try limiting your upload speed to about 80% of your rated maximum. Check around the forums (the Speed Trouble one especially) for help configuring. Also, try the beta -- it'll give you a headstart on setting up.2) It depends on what you download.
