How can something not yet downloaded have > 1.0 ratio?

If several peers are downloading from me and I haven't finished downloading the torrent, I don't think it should count towards the ratio in that way.

hmm.. once it downloaded and I began seeding, suddenly the ratio is as it should be.

Uploaded / Download = Ratio

So if you've uploaded more than you've downloaded you have a ratio > 1, no matter if you've downloaded 100% of the torrent or not.
