xaxa
Hi! I can't seem to find out what port I should forward for my torrents downloads. After updating utorrent (1.4) I realized I had selected the wrong port as I got this message:'Error! Port 50330 does not appear to be open'. I have recently bought a 3G Internet card which I use in my laptop and since then I never seem to get any faster then 2.5 kb/s download speeds. I wonder if the reason for that has to do with the fact that the wrong port has been selected...Any help would be appreciated.Thanx in advance

xaxa
After installing utorrent v1.4 the speed dialog box poped up and when running the port forward test it came up with the error message: 'port not open'. I've realised, after reading some of the threads here, that this is not so uncommon and ohers have had the same problem. I decided to select 'random port' on the network options menu and see how it goes. I used to get download speeds up to 2.5, some times 3.0 but now it wouldn't raise above the 1 kb/s. I am aware of the fact the my connection speed is poor as now i use a 3G pci card from vodafone and the speed depends a lot on the network service... I decided to go back to version 1.3 and things went back to normal.
