d_headshot Posted December 30, 2008 Report Share Posted December 30, 2008 Whenever I fiddle around with portforwarding for utorrent I notice that I have one IP that's usually like "192.168.1.1xx" and when I went to http://whatsmyip.org/ it said my IP address is "24.77.2xx.2xx". When I type ipconfig/all in the command prompt I don't see the one that starts with the 24. What are the differences between the two? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
schnurlos Posted December 30, 2008 Report Share Posted December 30, 2008 ipconfig shows your IP inside your LAN (192.168.x.x says, you're behind a router because that's reserved for private).24.77.x.x shows your official IP to the web (given from your provider).
