revcor632
I went into Network Options and changed the Global maximum upload rate to 25 kB/s, but sometimes my upload speed will still go above 25 kB/s. Is this normal? Or is something not right? Thanks
Firon
Yes, it's normal. Especially if you have DHT on.
revcor632
What is DHT? And, if it's normal, how do I *effectively* limit my upload speed? Thanks
Firon
The average upload rate is 25 KB/s, it doesn't deviate by a significant amount normally. It's impossible to make it exactly 25 KB/s all the time. (if you saw it on other clients as exactly 25 KB/s, they're lying to you). DHT can make it go about 2 or 3 KB/s over sometimes, though it's usually far lower. It happens most often when it says DHT: xxx peers (updating). Read the FAQ if you wanna know what DHT is.
