leotoff Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 Ineed a helping hand to port forward on a DI 804 router. Can someone tell me what protocol I need (TCP/UDP) ; what is the local port I need to forward from my incoming port? Thanks
KlusterNisse Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 if you run start | run | ipconfig you can see your ip-adress that you have then you log into the router and forward a port between 49152 -> 65535 UDP and TCPfollow this guidehttp://www.portforward.com/Dlink/DI-804/default.htm(site seem to be down for the moment, but try later)
leotoff Posted October 10, 2005 Author Report Posted October 10, 2005 Did as you said. No difference in d/l speeds and also getting NAT error. Incidentally also configured the forwarded port thru' my software firewall.
Ultima Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 I think KlusterNisse meant to link to this page (if you haven't already read it or configured your router yet).
