HowTo for newbies

Hi,

I am new on torrent & i have some questions regarding uTorrent parameters.

After installing uTorrent on my MBP i have the following parameters:

- Limit DL rate: N/A

- Limit UL rate automatically: N/A

- Limit UL rate manually: N/A

- Limit Seeding rate manually: N/A

- Seeding ratio: N/A

While using utorrent i have:

- DL: unlimited

- UL: 40 kB/s => i guess we're talking about bits

- Ratio: 1,5

After several tests on Speedtest.net i have:

- DL: 1545 kb/s => i guess we're talking about bytes

- UL: 866 kb/s

Based on this, does somone can explain me what to set and where please ?

After searching on the utorrent guide for windows i set 70 % of my DL & UL in limits:

I don't really understand why setting a limit for DL, even without limit i can easily surf.

I'll try this, please correct me if i'm wrong, but i dont know what to set for:

- Limit UL rate automatically: N/A

- Limit Seeding rate manually: N/A

- Seeding ratio: N/A

Regarding the incoming TCP port, i have the 3 colors, don't know why ?

One more point, i have ad 2 digit to :

- Active transfert limit: 10

-Active DL limit: 7
