mikeyb7 Posted May 17, 2009 Report Posted May 17, 2009 HiI've been playing with various methods of adding torrents with utorrent, with the aim of making it possible for me to add torrents from my phone, as well as making it possible to add multiple torrents at once using urls (I know its possible with the torrent files). So far i have set up an email client which automatically adds torrent file attachments to the torrent load folder on my pc. This is very useful, but I want to be able to email the url (or multilple urls separated by a ';' for example) and the email client (or torrent client) automatically adds the torrents to the download queue.Has this been done before? How would i go about doing it? I think it would involve some sort of string handling on the email side, but how would I be able to add the multiple torrent urls to utorrent?
Ultima Posted May 17, 2009 Report Posted May 17, 2009 Interfacing with email accounts won't be happening in µTorrent itself. What phone are you using? If it can at least support Opera Mini, then you can use MiniUI to add multiple URLs in one go (each URL separated by newlines) -- I just added the feature today in response to this request.
mikeyb7 Posted May 18, 2009 Author Report Posted May 18, 2009 Thanks that works well. Now my router is giving me port forwarding issues unfortunately. When you say 'newline' what do you mean? For example if I wanted to add multiple urls in Utorrent how would I do it?
Ultima Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 "Newline" means line break. So something like...http://domain1.tld/path/download.php?foo=barhttp://domain2.tld/path/foo.torrentwould be 2 URLs, separated by a line break. After taking a look at Opera Mini just now, though, I noticed that there's no obvious way to insert line breaks. Ugh.
mikeyb7 Posted May 19, 2009 Author Report Posted May 19, 2009 Cool that works on my opera, but if I want to add multiple urls on the pc UTorrent how would I do that?
Ultima Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 As I said, I'm not sure why Opera Mini doesn't seem to allow users to input line breaks -- it's really stupid, and I don't see any obvious way to insert line breaks.
