I've followed the directions to correct the problem on the FAQ page, creating both a settings.dat and a resume.dat file in the folder containing the utorrent application file. Even after doing so, it absolutely refuses to recognize the resume.dat file. The settings.dat file is being reocgnized and modified, but not the resume file. This is making me lose my mind.
