wallataa Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 I have a Speedstream 6520 modem and a Linksys WRT54G router and I have windows xp sp2 and aliant security services as my firewall. Port checker says "An error has occurred! Port 37754 does not appear to be open." I continuously attempt to forward my router by following the steps outlined at www.portforward.com. However I've been unsucessful each time and I still get that message from port checker and never pass 200kB/s. I'm not sure if this is really relevant, but I'll say it anyways. Yesterday I was on the phone with my isp and they helped me secure my wireless connection. After that I noticed changes on Network Connections on the computer that is directly connected with the router and the ccomputer im on right now. Normally I would connect through my broadband connection, but now that connection no longer works, and the computer just connects automatically and there is a icon under internet gateway that says internet connection.thanks,
