dan9d9 Posted February 20, 2010 Report Share Posted February 20, 2010 My computer got a fake anti-virus malware about a week ago, and I just got it back from being fixed. I got the malware when I was trying to download a corrupted file using BitTorrent. My computer has run smoothly since getting it back a couple days ago. (Not sure if this info is needed or not, but I thought it couldn't hurt)I just downloaded utorrent as I had previously uninstalled BitTorrent right after I was infected. I tried downloading a file for the first time tonight and received this message:"C:\Users\*****\AppData\Local\Temp\[isoHunt] ***.torrent could not be opened, because the associated helper application does not exist. Change the association in your preferences."I assumed this meant that utorrent was not set as the default app for torrent files and so I checked in the control panel. But it is set as the default app for torrent files. I feel like I'm missing something really simple here, but I'm not sure what to do now.
