Sudden change in d/l and where torrents are going???

I use and LOVE Bittorrent..Awhile back my torrents failed to load into bittorrent so I have been just adding them from my bittorrent download folder..No biggie! NOW, when I go to add my torrent to the client, it is not in my folder. As I searched, I am finding them in documents. I checked my settings to make sure all preferences list bittorrent download folder. No emergency but any thoughts would be appreciated..Thanks for reading!
