The "Run this program.." feature

I can't get it to work

I want to start a program like, VLC or something similiar, to either play the complete download or play a sound when it's finished. Getting a pop-up message at completion would also be nice.

I have spent quite som time trying and failing and searching on internet to try to figure this out, but I just can't get it to work. I'm not very experienced with commands in Windows and stuff like that, so is there some kind souls out there who could spare some time to help?
