The Mighty Buzzard
Any chance we could get either a utility to fix the checksum on a resume.dat we've altered to give the correct paths to existing files or an explanation of how to write one ourselves? Would make switching from wine+utorrent to the native port much easier.
Ultima
Just remove the .fileguard key from the root dictionary. Or if you would prefer a properly-checksummed file, you can always remove the .fileguard key, find the SHA1 hash of the resulting dictionary, and re-add the .fileguard key with the new hash as the value. For users who are unfamiliar with (or dislike) editing bencoded files manually with a hex editor, BEncode Editor can help with that. (Yep, it's another Windows utility, but I'm assuming we're talking about transitioning from the Windows version to the Linux version anyway)
The Mighty Buzzard
Cheers.Hex editing a resume.dat with over 200 entries isn't really an option for the non-masochist and BEncode Editor didn't work under wine for me but a bit quick copy over to a windows box for some search and replace made everything happy. I may do up a perl script (now that I've spent the requisite couple minutes to grok bencoded files) to save others the minor inconvenience this weekend but don't anyone go holding their breath in case alcohol becomes involved. Ultima
Hm, probably only the ANSI build will run under Wine... At any rate, good to hear that it's solved on your end.
