info.plist - LSFileQuarantineEnabled (OS X anti-Malware)

Recommended Posts

From the recent Mac malware (Mac Defender, etc...) scare that's spreading. Apparently all that application developers have to do is enable "LSFileQuarantineEnabled" in application's info.plist file.

This will apparently give the application protection from Mac OS X Snow Leopard's XProtect anti-malware function.

Can the developers of uTorrent please enable this in the info.plist files by default so that at least Mac users of uTorrent are given at least basic malware protection please???

I think this is a really good idea that seems VERY easy to do.
