koss0003
I know there are many postings about anonymous torrenting, but I couldn't find any good answer...I want to use public tracker (missed out on private tracker chances ) and I want to keep my privacy from ISP and peer trackers. I'm planning on the following setup:1. OpenSSH tunneling from a service that has 1 day or less log keeping policy2. Port-forwarding via Putty3. Using SOCKS from uTorrent to use the forwarded port4. DHT disabled in uTorrentDoes this give me sufficient protection? Would this prevent disconnect uTorrent when the tunnel is down? Would this provide me with good anonymity while keeping decent bandwidth/speed?
iboxster
VPN does not guarantee absolute security. If only because if it is disabled, the download resumes without him, and your IP is visible. There are special programs to download torrents anonymously, search in Google, for example, "torrent privacy".
Cor'eCor'e
Securely? Essentially, you would need someone else's system to download your files. For example, drive out into a neighborhood and squat on somebody's foolishly unprotected WiFi, or local coffee shop.
