Disk overloaded (and Flushing to disk messages)

I get this message all the time, I haven't watched all my torrents while downloading, but it happens even with small ones (1-2GB). On a 500GB empty drive.

My disk cache settings are the default ones. But now with manual cache size of 512 which seems to have helped a bit, but I still get the message and download speed drops.

I also get 'Flushing to disk' for each and every torrent (it just happened now with a 20 MB file and took a few good seconds to finish). I have never had this happen to me before.
