lgmv
Hello,I just got a MB Air and I would like to maximize my hard disk life span.I'm going to download files on an external hard disk but I was wondering if there was something else I could do.I looked in the preferences and the only thing I can think of is to modify the "location of downloaded files", "put new downloads in:" my external HD.I don't know how uTorrent is implemented so I was wondering if doing that is enough?Thank you. AnnSnark
Setting location in "Put new downloads in" and "Move completed files to" field to external HD will lessen load on your hard disk.Otherwise you can set the location for each torrent specifically in Add Torrent dialog that appears when you add a torrent or via right click on torrent in the list - Advanced - Set download location.
