Can I redirect torrent file?

I try to explain myself.

I would change the name of downloaded file (not .torrent file) and keep it in seeding after the download.

Or if I already have the downloaded file I would reconect the torrent to the file on my pc (the file are renamed in different way thant the torrent propose to me).

Is possible to do with the linux version?

I know that the windows version of utorrent can do it.
