Script to automaticlly clear finished , error, completed etc torrents

Hi,

Looking at a lot of scripts used on Linux for Linux they use some calls not supported by the webui of the server version (not sure why) so I was wondering if anyone has such a functional script either python , bash or php that runs on localhost with the server that can clear the torrents.

Now again I am looking for this Linux based for a headless server so it has to be driven either via a service or a simple cron job.
