obsidian9 Posted December 17, 2012 Report Share Posted December 17, 2012 Been using utorrent for mac for several years, but just recently started to download some large (20-60 GB) torrents, and this is the first time i've seen this error. I have about 10 different torrents downloading, and over time, some will stop with the red circle w/ white exclamation. Under Status is says "Error: WriteToDisk: Too many open files in system" I've tried to stop all but one torrent. Even this one will start downloading, get to a green solid bar under the Done column, and under status is will say "Flushing to Disk (256)". Then it will give the same error of too many open files.
