savesheep
Hey All, I've been using utorrent for years but recently installed the newest version 3.4 build 30660. I use a socks5 proxy but it doesn't change the outcome if that is disabled. Basically, no matter what speed utorrent is downloading a file at, the rest of the internet on my entire network is useless. I have a 10Mbps (not great, I know) set up through CenturyLink. I can do a speed test and usually download around 1.1 - 1.2MBps. When utorrent is running (even if it's downloading a file at 30kbs), the rest of my network acts as if there is zero bandwidth. Everything loads incredibly slow, speed tests barely operate, the internet is worthless. I haven't tried an older version of utorrent yet as I am hoping it's either a bug or an easy fix. I limited the amount of connections to 50 on everything and can lower that even more if necessary. Anybody have any advice?
ikar
I have the same problem with v.3.3.2I have DIR-300 Router (4xLAN + WiFi)PC connected via LAN (100mb) - uTorrent speed is about full of my ISP speed (about 10mb/s) but in any case of Torrent's speed (10-20-30-50 ect kb/s) all other internet traffic on this PC is down - but at the same time the speed via WiFi connection is good. So - uTorrent at any download speed hase blocked full LAN 100mb cannel. XP SP3No Proxy

savesheep
utorrent tcp/udp in and utorrent2 tcp/udp in are all added to Windows Firewall by default. The router is a buffalo WZR-300HP running OpenWRT. It's set up under port triggering for the specified utorrent port both tcp/udp traffic.
