lucabrasi
I have been trying to make uTorrent work with private internet access but cannot. I followed the instructins in this thread form PIA.https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/forum/index.php?p=/discussion/434/utorrent-install-instructions-for-proxy-proxychecker/p1 UTorrent works fine without the proxy and goes dead when I enable it. Of course I cannot safely download without the proxy so I don't know what to do. I found several threads that mention PIA but none that tell me what I need to do. Can someone direct me to a credible source. uTorrent 3.4.1 (31139) Tech Support Guy System Info Utility version 1.0.0.2OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate, Service Pack 1, 64 bitProcessor: AMD FX-6100 Six-Core Processor, AMD64 Family 21 Model 1 Stepping 2Processor Count: 6RAM: 16330 MbGraphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650, -2048 MbHard Drives: C: Total - 439911 MB, Free - 238920 MB; D: Total - 458864 MB, Free - 403209 MB; F: Total - 1907726 MB, Free - 862531 MB; G: Total - 513146 MB, Free - 449229 MB; I: Total - 3815413 MB, Free - 3809863 MB;Motherboard: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC., M5A97Antivirus: avast! schnurlos
I moved the post to "Chat" as the "Troubleshooting" is for uTorrent problems.
skeeterdew
I have the exact problem you do. I'm using PIA. I set up uTorrent from the url that you did. The icon in the corner will be green for awhile, then orange. I used the same proxy checker you did and it checks out good every time. I have asked for help on the PIA forum but it seems no one is up for the challenge. But I appreciate your post as it lets me know I'm not alone. GrimCreeper
Same problem here. I use the PrivateInternetAccess proxy server. Torrents upload fine for a couple of hours, then start to go red. Restarting uTorrent sets things right again...for a while.
lotsfits
Just signed up for PIA today, but couldn't get utorrent to work with it. Anyone has a credible tutorial to get them working? My utorrent just shows 'no incoming connections'
whoaskedhim
Would also really like some help with this. Just paid for PIA today as well and will be pretty bummed if I can't use it with my favorite torrent client.Current settings:
skeeterdew
First of all, you don't need to use a proxy if you have PIA.You'll need to go to the PIA forum as I've posted how uTorrent should be set. I have no problems with it now.Read this thread:https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/forum/index.php?p=/discussion/comment/18374#Comment_18374

weslo83
I had a similar problem This was my solution. 1st: I logged into my pia client control panel. There I saw in the bottom-ish left a button to generate a username/pwd for PTTP/LT2p/Socks . I cliked it.Then it showed my new username and password. I then used the new generated for SOCKS username/pwd in utorrent and it worked great. http://imgur.com/J8oA8R5 <----Picture
