bencallis Posted June 20, 2006 Report Posted June 20, 2006 Hi I have been reading and changing settings for around 3 hours and I think its time I asked for help.My torrent speeds have been awfull for the last few weeks. Im on a 2mb connection (mega bit) with isp tiscali (they are no doubt the problem).I have a dlink router DSL-G604T this is with the AUS firmware (so The ds can connect to it). I have downloads speeds of 30kb tops at the moment.I have set a static ip and port forwarded port 55555 for use with utorrent.Any ideas?
Ultima Posted June 20, 2006 Report Posted June 20, 2006 Green light? If so, try testing the OpenOffice.org v2.0.2 w/ JRE (104MB) or Ubuntu 6.06 (Dapper Drake) Desktop CD (698MB) torrents.
bencallis Posted June 20, 2006 Author Report Posted June 20, 2006 Yeah green light. Thwey go around the smae speed too. Thanks
Ultima Posted June 20, 2006 Report Posted June 20, 2006 You selected the correct upload in the Speed Guide, right? And what firewall are you using?(I was going to ask another question... forgot what though -.-)
bencallis Posted June 20, 2006 Author Report Posted June 20, 2006 Yeah have used the speed guide and messed around with it myself. Have protocall enabled (I huess that was your question) Ahh and firewall. I just have the one uilt in to the router and nod32 running in background.
Ultima Posted June 20, 2006 Report Posted June 20, 2006 rofl yeah, that actually was the question xDDid you try connecting directly to the modem to rule out your router as the cause (even though you did forward properly)?
