monkseyz
hello, i have been recently tried using 3 differant torrent clients but i am still having the same problem. Azureus, Utorrent and bitcommet. i am currently using utorrent and finding it better but i keep getting the red circle with around 240-260 nodes. the problem is that i cant turn off the windows firewall. it is greyed out in the background. the only thing that is not greyed out is a box that says 'dont allow exceptions'. if sum1 could help me 2 resolve my problem i would greatly appreciate it. i am using xp sp2 if that helps. my e-mail is hi_andrew@hotmail.com
Ultima
If you can't disable Windows Firewall because the box is grayed out, then the service isn't started, meaning it wasn't on to begin with. Make sure you forwarded your ports correctly.

Ultima
IINM, Application Layer Gateway is a service that's needed for Windows Firewall. Make sure you have that service along with the Windows Firewall service enabled in services.msc.

monkseyz
i no but its a good improvement. i was portforwarding earlier on today and when i logged onto the prestige router configuration website i forwarded my ports and since i have no firewall it shouldn't be a problem. when u forward the ports, where it asks u to enter ip address, is that yours they want or utorrent's?
