Disk overload 100% problem ..

I have utorrent 3.0 .. my download speed is really low, and in the bottom it shows disk overload 100% .. pls help :/

hi, I just recently switched from 1.6 to v3.0 and got the same error for the first time.

It has to do with disk speed

the disk that you are downloading the torrents to needs to be a bit faster, thats it.

you might be able to make the message vanish by adjusting disk cache, but you might be happier just putting them on a faster drive.

for torrents only, my pc was a pII @ 300Mhz, drive speed was 20mb sec from 2000 to jan 2011

I upgraded to a P4 duo core with SATA

internal drive speed is 85mb sec

I put utorrent on a 2Tb usb drive, speed was 30mb sec, still faster than the old PII

I put utorrent 3.0 on it 2 weeks ago and got that same message

I added various types of drives to see speeds

USB 2 any kind max gave 35Mb sec

USB 3.0 (WD) gave 110Mb sec

5400 rpm gave 50Mb sec

7200 rpm gave 85Mb sec

SSD SATAII gave 120Mb sec

2 RAID striped SSD SATAIII drives gave 850Mb sec....nice

they all made the warning go away

There you go, get a faster drive, problem solved

I used Roadkil's Disk Speed for my tests

files also transfer sooo much faster from the utorrent pc to other pc's via network now....serious
