criten Posted August 4, 2006 Report Share Posted August 4, 2006 I'm finding that if I use a download speed limit, it will affect other programs that use the network causing them to operate extremely slow and even have connection resets. Very bad when you're trying to use Windows File Sharing and you're getting connection refused errors, or when it actually lets you in you're unable to stream an extremely poor quality video (256kbit) over 100mbit lan. I'm capping to 20kb/sec, the moment I change this to unlimited my network works as expectedThings I've tried:- Speed Guide- Reduced max_halfopen- Disabled DHT- Toying with network card performance settings (including buffers), now back on defaults- Using another network cardNothing on that list has worked so far.
