ciaobaby Posted October 31, 2013 Report Share Posted October 31, 2013 Tested with 3.3.2.30180 and 3.4.0.30272Moving an installation from the default %appdata% location causes problems with starting the portable install because the exe_path value in settings.dat is NOT being updated when the client is started in it's new location.Deleting the entry makes the portable install start the %appdat%/utorrent install regardless of the commandline in the portable shortcut.The exe_path value has to be edited manually to make the portable installation work correctly. ciaobaby Posted November 30, 2013 Author Report Share Posted November 30, 2013 Bit late replying to this.Download BEncode EditorShutdown uTorrent.Open setting.dat with BEncode.Find the exe_path key and set the value to the fully qualified path for your installation.Delete the .fileguard keySave the fileExit BEncodeRestart uTorrent.
