angelbaby52585
I'm not good with all this connection stuff. I did the speed test and I have 1074 as the download speed and 109 as the upload speed. How can I set it up properly. I'm only downloading an average of 5.7kbs and 7.9kbs. I have everything set to unlimited. Can someone help me?
Switeck
2nd link in my signature gives suggested settings for uTorrent based on your max sustainable UPLOAD speed. The 128 kilobits/second upload settings seems the closest to your speed tests result of 109 kilobits/second upload bandwidth.Turning off DHT (both kinds) and Resolve IPs (right-click in PEERS window on an active torrent) might save a little bandwidth, making your download speeds a little higher and web surfing a little less laggy while uTorrent is running.Do you get a green light at the bottom of uTorrent's window? This means incoming connections aren't blocked from connecting to uTorrent. uTorrent can work by only making outgoing connections, but it's often much slower because it can only connect to about 1/2 as many seeds and peers. Switeck
frogo600,Your ISP (Tiscali in the UK, ADSL) is hostile to BitTorrent traffic. It probably gets its service through Carphone Warehouse Broadband Services:http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=46778Here's a decent place for more details about your rotten ISP:http://www.the-scream.co.uk/forums/
