Prozac Posted December 22, 2009 Author Report Share Posted December 22, 2009 Hmm...It must be caused by some changes between 1.8.5 and 2.0 since 1.8.5 does not refresh icons on start-up.As for changing the icons size - it is a known Vista bug and it appears always when icons are refreshed.So now the only question is why uTorrent refreshes icons on startup. I've never seen it happen on WinXP, and I still don't see it happening on Win7. Chances are, something else on your computer is doing this, because indeed (as you're suspecting) there is absolutely no reason µTorrent should or would refresh the desktop. A right-click on uTorrent's taskbar icon results in an annoying refresh of all icons on the desktop as well as the taskbar. Prozac Posted October 15, 2011 Author Report Share Posted October 15, 2011 Hello!Almost 2 years passed - I am now on Win 7 64-bit Ultimate and still the same behaviour. The only difference is that the icon refresh does not make them smaller - probably it was a Vista issue. But I can still see how icons are refreshed every time I run uTorrent. UnclWish Posted November 20, 2013 Report Share Posted November 20, 2013 From version 3.3.2 build 29976 and higher versions (all builds to 3.4 beta) utorrent are forces to refresh desktop.
