monochr0m3
My download speed keep raising and lowering like this:Here's my speedtest result:I'm already using the conservative setting guide at 224kbpsand I'm getting "Disconnect: too many incoming connections message", should I lower my global connections? Switeck
Obviously, you're running v1.8.3 or later...I dunno which tho.How many torrents are downloading/seeding? (It's possible to differ from your max settings due to very slow torrents starting/running.)About how many seeds/peers are present on each?A single peer or seed may decide to upload to you for a couple minutes at a time followed by a minute or 2 not uploading to you."and I'm getting "Disconnect: too many incoming connections message", should I lower my global connections?"Means you're already at max connections either on a single torrent or globally. The "extra" incoming connection is thus dropped with that message.
monochr0m3
I tested a torrent from openoffice and the speed was good and stable, so does the problem lie on the swarm?I'm using v2.0 Beta, currently downloading one torrent with 19(94)seeds / 17(1515)peers and not seeding
Switeck
It may be a problem with the torrent swarm having very few decent peers/seeds...that are willing to upload to you anyway. At least for the peers, they may be unwilling to upload to you because your own upload seems very unreliable in the pic.Oddly, you seem to upload a lot more when the download speed spikes!...Or is that an illusion caused by net.calc_overhead = true?My opinion is your uTorrent settings should be good.It seems strange though that you have 36 connected peers and seeds if your max per torrent connections was only 35. monochr0m3
Yes, my connections are quite terrible..And yes, my net.calc_overhead = true, should I set it to false? I tried changing it to false and the speed looked worseSorry, that should be 35, the peers are changing constantly
Switeck
Yes, set to false net.calc_overhead. The TCP/IP networking overheads will still exist, you just won't be looking at them when testing whether upload speeds are due to uploading to peers or not.
