only ever been able to get 10% of my max download speed

Hi, I am in the UK and i am only ever able to get 2.2 mbs downlaod on a 20mbs connection through fibre optic, DU Meter shows i am downloading at 20mbps when only utorrent is open even tho utorrent shows 2.2mbs down, any idea why this is? Thanks!

I should add my router supports and has enabled upnp and utorrent is allowed in the hardware firewall, i have a DIR-615 router

Sorry, but that's funny.

SpeedTest shows results in MegaBITs per second, and uTorrent - in MegaBYTEs (1 byte = 8 bits)

So:

2.2 MB/s (in uTorrent)= 2.2 MB/s * 8 (bits per byte) = 17.6 Mb/s (megabits)... also you need to add some overhead - and with your speed in mind the overall download speed will be close to 20 Mb/s... so it's absolutely normal - you get nearly 90-100% of your max bandwidth.

look there lol, coxial is virgin media only (until BT install theirs which will be crap anyway) and they limit upload at 768kbs for 20meg down and 50meg down only get 1.5mb up ... so it sucks balls
