  1. uTorrent Hangs on Exit

    Sorry, I should have mentioned. Win7 64.
  2. uTorrent Hangs on Exit

Updates are already set to ask before download/install. KB4338818 is not installed. All I have out of those three is 821. Everything has been working great. It's definitely 900 causing the same problem for me as 818 did. Strange that I seem to be the only one so far.
  3. uTorrent Hangs on Exit

The preview for this months quality rollup released last month (KB4338821) fixed this problem. The update this month brought the issue back. uTorrent and Evernote, and perhaps others, are hanging on exit again. I had to uninstall KB4343900. 2018-08 Security Monthly Quality Rollup for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB4343900)

  5. uTorrent Hangs on Exit

It's not just uTorrent. I've also had Evernote do the same thing. Supposedly KB4338818 is the cause, and installing the preview of next months rollup (KB4338821) fixes it.
  6. uTorrent Hangs on Exit

I've had this problem with uTorrent and Evernote. I'm sure there are other programs out there too. Installed KB4338821 and hoping it fixed it.
  7. Utorrent starting up on its own

I have this problem, but I run UT in portable mode. The automatic updates and update to beta options are both checked, but greyed out. Yet, updates are still downloaded into the updates subfolder. uT will randomly decide it doesn't want to run, and instead wants to install. This will be because there is a new version and it wants to install it. The only fix is to manually replace utorrent.exe with the new version in \updates. Then it runs in portable mode again. This forces me to update when I don't want to. The other night, I had uTorrent shut down while I was reading about the new security flaws. I made sure that utorrent.exe was no longer running. A few hours later, I got a random UAC popup for uT. What would cause the portable version of uT to launch in the middle of a Windows session?
  8. µTorrent 2.2 "Griffin" beta 22538

I'm glad I'm using the beta, if this is the way uTorrent is heading now I have a heads up to start finding a new favorite torrent client.
  9. µTorrent 2.0.3 released

The Initial Seeding setting prevents me from uploading. It was showing peer connections but no data was being uploaded. I turned off initial seeding and it immediately started uploading.
