Aaru Bui
So it was working OK the day before and suddenly, it fails to connect to any peer. The port closes a few seconds after I start a torrent (opened when the client first opened). I would occasionally get 1 or 2 peers but the speed would stay at 0.I've tried encryption and all but to no avail. Other p2p programs work fine, tried other torrent clients. Checked my settings, nothing's changed. I use DSL and it works fine if I use an account from another ISP. (using the same DSL modem)An ISP thing? Anything I can do? Firon
Hmm... I guess your ISP is doing traffic analysis or port blocking to block it, I guess, especially if another ISP works for you with the same modem and PC.
Aaru Bui
Encryption didn't work. Tried changing ports and all... Nothing at all I can do?
Firon
Do other BT clients work? Or is it just different P2P networks?Do you have a software firewall?
Aaru Bui
Tried, uTorrent, BitComet, Azureus, all failed. Other p2p programs worked. I don't have a software firewall, even tried disabling the Windows firewall.
Ultima
From what you describe, this might not be relevant, but I just want to make sure... what's the color of the light in the status bar?
Aaru Bui
Ah... forgot to mention that... "no incoming connections". the yellow triangle with the !.
Ultima
Yeah make sure you forwarded your ports. If you're 150% sure you got it correct, and you still have yellow, then it's almost definitely ISP interference. If that's the case, the best you can do is ask them, but I'd say you'd have a better chance switching ISPs.
Aaru Bui
There is no forwarding to do. I don't use a router, I can't configure my modem, other programs have their ports working fine...
