rropitmus
Hows it going. I just started using utorrent. I really have no business doing this stuff because I am pretty much c l u e l e s s. Heres my main problem. When I first started I downloaded a few things just fine. I tried again later only to find an error message reading "device is not ready." I have no idea what it is talking about. nothing changed from the first time i downloaded. I am connecting to the internet just fine. If anyone out there can help me, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanx
jdms
Ok, first of all disconnect the power from you're modem/router.Then restart you're pc, reconnect the modem/router and try again.
Switeck
Device not ready usually means you're trying to save to a removable drive...that has been removed. It's best to not try to save torrents on flash media cards -- µTorrent's often too fast for them, demanding constant reads/writes. If you want files on a flash card, download them on your hard drive/s and copy them when done to a flash card....This is all just a guess too on what caused your problem. rropitmus
Thanx for trying to help. Apparently, i was trying to download to memory stick instead of my hard drive. Thank you switeck for pointing that out. All is well again.
