Peers keep going to 0 shortly after download starts..

I am  downloading with Tribler a torrent I fished out from  the Pirate Bay. The download kicks in right away, albeit slowly, with 6(20) peers,  for a few moments , then it goes back to (0) peers and stops. I removed the download and restarted it again from the file location: same thing.  It starts with a few peers, then the peers go to 0 and the download stops.. I wonder why and how can it be fixed.
